Rachmat Kartolo edit

  • ... that Rachmat Kartolo, son of actors Roekiah and Kartolo, initially did not want to enter the film industry but ultimately completed more than 40 movies?

  • First hook fact appears within the article with one ref, which is Rachmat Kartolo. With the help of Google translator I can say it has nothing about him having no interest in film making and doesn't even have the number 40. Although it does verify the second part to some degree. What it doesn't mention that it was a hit for the first time. So if you rephrase like 'that Rachmat Kartolo's song "Patah Hati" was released twice, twenty years apart?' - then I say it's good to go. • From JCG: "Ketika ia hadir dengan lagu pertamanya, Patah Hati, memang banyak tanggapan." (literally, When he arrived with his first song, Patah Hati, there was a large response/many responses"). Biran (1979, 383) writes "Pada waktu itu Rachmat adalah penyanyi yang terkenal dengan lagu2 'cengeng'nya, antara lain "Patah Hati" ciptaan abangnya Iman". (At the time (1964) Rachmat was a singer famous for his melancholic songs such as "Patah Hati", written by his brother Iman.) Both sources are pretty clear that it was a hit, though actual charts don't seem to have been introduced to Indonesia in the 1960s. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:49, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
For the first hook, check the filmography reference. That has a list of films he was in. Count the ones as an actor ("pemeran"). There are 43 by my count. That's the "over 40". The other part of the hook is supposed to be cited to Biran, 1979; when I added the bit about opening his own studio I forgot to duplicate the ref. The source is offline, but I can send you a photo of the page if you want. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:40, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
I accept the filmograpy but where's the part that he wasn't interested in films in the beginning? That's also in Biran? Lajbi Holla @ meCP 10:50, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Yes. I don't have it with me (at a web cafe now) so I can't give you the exact sentence, but as I said I'll photograph it for you if you want. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:57, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
  • It isn't necessary. I'll give it a AGF pass. Most of the facts are already cleared by online sources. Lajbi Holla @ meCP 12:37, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the review. Any preference for the hook? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:39, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
