- Length and date ok, impressive work. Many PD images that could be used for the hook are availible too. But I fail to see any explicit mention of the linkage between poor funding and being outnumbered by magnates' armies. The two fact are, from what I can read, presented separately. --Soman (talk) 11:37, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- They are both true and related. Underfunding meant small numbers, small numbers meant magnates could field larger numbers. I don't see a problem? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 14:52, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- Per Rule B1, the hook fact must be supported in the article by a citation. BTW, after I cleaned up the referencing, I notice that most of the article is based on two books, and the citations seem to follow the books' structure pretty closely. Do you have any other sources for the information? Yoninah (talk) 19:40, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
- They seem like a reliable source. Would you care to suggest an alt hook? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 03:50, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Here's a proposed alt hook 1 and 2. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 04:04, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
- ALT1:
... that the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth army was very underfunded, and on occasions it could field fewer troops that the private armies of the country's magnates? - ALT2: ... that the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth army (pictured) was so underfunded that it was often outnumbered 12 to 1 by neighboring armies?
