Murder of Janet March

edit
  • ALT1:... that after he was arrested and charged with murdering his wife after she disappeared 20 years ago today, Perry March tried to have his in-laws killed?
  • ALT2:... that Nashville prosecutors presented 59 witnesses to the grand jury that indicted Perry March on charges of murdering his wife, who disappeared 20 years ago today?

  • Comment: This is another one for which I have an anniversary date in mind, obviously: August 15. I hope this is not too short notice.

I am still working on it; I may be able to add some more hooks before that date.

I have added an ALT2 now that I got that far (If it doesn't seem striking, that's a lot of witnesses to present to a grand jury. More than most prosecutors even present in several trials combined). Daniel Case (talk) 19:51, 11 August 2016 (UTC)

  • New enough, longed enough, sourced, no copyvio detected. It's a pass. I think Alt1 is the most interesting hook, although maybe you could find a synonym instead of "after" twice. White Arabian Filly Neigh 20:28, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT1a: ... that after he was arrested and charged with murdering his wife, who disappeared 20 years ago today, Perry March tried to have his in-laws killed? Yoninah (talk) 21:52, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
  • @Daniel Case: the first paragraph under Background needs a cite per DYK rules. Also, the ALT1a hook fact needs an inline cite in the article. Yoninah (talk) 21:54, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
First part  Done. I am about to write the subsection that deals with the plot to kill the in-laws, so I will put a source in the intro when I'm done. Daniel Case (talk) 22:44, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
@Daniel Case: I really enjoy your missing-persons articles, so I was the first to read it and edit it for typos. I notice that the article ends abruptly. Are you going to add in the information about his conviction, with sources? Yoninah (talk) 22:49, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
@Yoninah: As I said in my nomination, it's a work in progress. I didn't have time to wait until it was done to nominate it. This is one of the longest and most complicated stories these articles have ever had to tell (really, wouldn't it make a great movie? A car chase! An international kidnapping! A body buried in secrecy! A father betrays his son! I can just see Jonah Hill as Perry. Daniel Case (talk) 02:41, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
  • I understand. It's certainly past the start stage, and is just about done. The ALT1a hook ref is now verified and cited inline. ALT1a good to go. Yoninah (talk) 10:37, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
