The two "Reviewed" articles link to "Look Here (horse)", which were reviewed by a different user. Not sure what's going on with that.Zozo2kx = Yazan and these reviews were completed as a subset of the Look Here hook.
- al-Manam: Article is new enough and long enough.
- Lede's mention of the Sabra and Shatila massacre is abrupt but appropriate given later sources. Are these the only Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon? If not, it makes sense to specify that the film was shot there.

Don't see the film under "D" in the free preview of the Historical Dictionary of Middle Eastern Cinema but it may be somewhere else, and other sources confirm notability.Some facts confirmed on the Google Books preview for the Historical Dictionary of Middle Eastern Cinema's entry for Malas. - Language is generally good, but this sentence—"Their unique answers provide a window into the subconscious of the Palestinian refugee."—could be stated more neutrally. "Great acclaim" could also be clarified, especially since there is conspicuously not a footnote at the end of the sentence.
- Done Tweaked first sentence. Second sentence is sourced at the end of the following one. Here's the quote from the paper: "Malas is known mostly for his feature films, but onedocumentary he made has also won great acclaim, both in the Arab world, among those lucky enough to have seen a copy, and in Europe where the film has been shown on television in England and France. The Dream is a documentary in which Malas interviews Palestinians of the refugee camps around Beirut about their dreams." I put quotation marks around "great acclaim."

- Hook fact is confirmed.
- Unfortunately most of the sources are not accessible. Most facts can be confirmed by online sources, but I'm having difficulty finding a source that says "Light and Shadows" was banned; Zozo, maybe you could find an online source that confirms this?
- I couldn't find an online source; but perhaps you can see the preview of "Dissident Syria: Making Oppositional Arts Official" here. It says "... the government would not let Malas's Chiaroscuro to be screened. The only time it was shown in Syria was in 1993 at the American Cultural Center in Damascus." I tweaked the English title to "Chiaroscuro"; "Light and Shadows" was the literal translation of the Arabic name.
- Some discrepancies between filmography names and dates based on entry in the Historical Dictionary of Middle Eastern Cinema.
- Yes, I know that, but because the dates vary so much at times, I chose to use the ones from "Dissident Syria" because it discusses the subject in much more detail and fits his professional chronology (festival participation, etc.) better.
- "First auteur" claim seems a little nebulous, but is also made by this same dictionary.
- I actually softened that a bit; the source says he is the first.
