New enough and long enough. Cited throughout. Meets core content policies. The hook says "effectively extinct", but the article says that there were 300 surviving members, how is that "effectively extinct"? --Jakob (talk) 00:12, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
- Well, there were no Manche Ch'ol in their original territory, and the few survivors, around 300 and down from a population in the tens of thousands, had been forcibly relocated into an area where Spanish-speakers equalled them in number, and where they were absorbed into the local Q'eqchi' Maya population. I think that counts as effectively extinct, (extinct is certainly used in the sources) but am open to alternative wording. In any case, I've expanded the section to include info on the absorption of the Manche by the Q'eqchi'. Best regards, Simon Burchell (talk) 09:28, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
