Luzula nivalis edit

  • ... that due to its occasional propensity to grow on snow patches and in Arctic environments, Luzula nivalis has the common names snowy wood-rush and arctic wood-rush?
  • Comment: Please leave a while to review, as I need to QPQ (this is my fifth nomination) and add more info. Just nominating now so I don't go past the five day limit! Maybe the hook should only be about one of the common names, I'm not sure? Also, if I went just with the snowy common name hook (i.e. not mention the arctic name or habitat at all), would this be worth saving for ?

  • How long do we have to wait? I've looked at the article and it looks OK, but the hook facts are not mentioned at all in the article. I think we have to pay some attention to the 5 day rule ...and we do need some good xmas noms! Could you fix the hook facts please? Victuallers (talk) 21:01, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
@Victuallers: Thanks for your comment Victuallers, I will correct the hook/article ASAP. I asked if it could be left a bit in the sense that I still had more to add and that looking at the rather large backlog, if reviewers wanted to review other nominations on that day before it they could :) Would it be OK if it's ready to go by the end of tomorrow? Here's an alternative hook:

ALT 1 ... that arctic or snowy wood-rush has been described as one of the most ecologically important of all arctic plants?
  • Would this work? It's still kinda Christmassy as it's called snowy wood rush and grows in the arctic (and that's where Santa lives, you know!). Oh, and QPQ done. Acather96 (click here to contact me) 22:13, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
  • Alt1 fine for xmas. Alt1 checks out which I have boldly reduced to make it snappier (IMO) - do feel free to restore to how it was. Good length and refs. Welcome to the DYK regulars. Merry Christmas Victuallers (talk) 11:35, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
That looks a lot better, I wasn't aware that you didn't have to link to the exact title of the article. Thank-you for your kind words - Merry Christmas right back at you! :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 21:00, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
