Lupo Martini Wolfsburg edit

  • ... that the first migrant worker football club in Germany, ISC Lupo, was formed in 1962 by Italians?

  • Neat article, well-referenced, neutral, hook is cited, QPQ done and no copyvio. Unfortunately full verification on my part can't be done because I can't speak German, so therein lies the Good Faith. Good to go! Cheers Kingoflettuce (talk) 02:34, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
I was going to promote this to the Prep area, but I don't think all the hook facts are made out in the German language sources. The most relevant passage is translated by "Google translate" as "Sometime were 6,500 Italians in Wolfsburg, and in the seventies about 10,000. The number of barracks grew. In 1962, the football club I.S.C. Lupo was founded, in the barracks. Each barrack had a team that played against another team barracks. Among themselves a championship, against German clubs friendlies." Neither source seemed to say that this was the "first" migrant football team in Germany, so I suggest
  • ALT1 ... that ISC Lupo, a football club for Italian migrant workers in Germany, was founded in 1962? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
I'm not sure google translate got it quite right. The Deutschlandfunk reference says, right below the header, Rocco Lochiatto war dabei, als 1962 der erste deutsche Gastarbeiter-Sportverein USI Lupo-Martini Wolfsburg von italienischen VW-Arbeitern geründet wurde. This translates as Rocco Lochiatto was there when, in 1962, the first German migrant worker sports club USI Lupo-Martini Wolfsburg was formed by Italian Volkswagen workers. Would you be happy with this supporting the original hook? Calistemon (talk) 12:21, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
I seem to have missed that. I will replace the tick as per Kingoflettuce, and leave someone else to promote this with whichever hook they think fit. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:37, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for looking it over one more time. I'm happy with either hook. Calistemon (talk) 14:43, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
