Kupol Gold Mine edit

Ice road between Kupol and Pevek, Russia.

  • ... that the isolated Kupol Gold Mine is accessible overland only through an ice road, which can only be constructed when temperatures are below −25 °C (−13 °F) and is only open from late January to April?

Created/expanded by Kelapstick (talk). Nominated by Calistemon (talk) at 07:07, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

  • Hook is too long at about 215 characters. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:38, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
  • How about:
  • ALT1: ... that the Kupol Gold Mine north of the Arctic Circle is only accessible in winter via an ice road (pictured), which can only be built when temperatures are below -25°C (−13°F)?
  • No objections from my side, sounds good! Calistemon (talk) 13:19, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
  • OK article is new enough, long enough, hook is in article and cited, and cite has facts. However plagiarism problems: ice road sentence is copied from source. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 06:08, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Fixed the sentance in the article.--kelapstick(bainuu) 06:40, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
  • I was surprised by how much information available in the sources was not included in the article. I went ahead and added a lot of interesting detail. Age, length, referencing all OK. Hook ref verified. I tweaked ALT1 and it's good to go. Yoninah (talk) 22:27, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
