Kentucky Avenue Renaissance Festival
edit... that the Kentucky Avenue Renaissance Festival was created to spark interest in reviving Atlantic City's former R&B and jazz district, where the music and entertainment used to go around the clock?
Created by Yoninah (talk). Self-nominated at 22:22, 14 August 2016 (UTC).
- The phrase "where the music and entertainment used to go around the clock" seems contradicted by source. At one point it says it was 24/hours per day. In another instance it quotes a person who says musicians would sleep on the beach in the early hours of the morning before resuming playing. LavaBaron (talk) 23:32, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
- True, the 24 hours/day was on weekends only. Here's an alt:

... that the Kentucky Avenue Renaissance Festival was created to spur interest in reviving Atlantic City's former R&B and jazz entertainment district?Yoninah (talk) 00:16, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
- Technically, the article says the founders hope it would to generate interest. It also says organizers "hoped to trigger a rebirth..." But the source doesn't explicitly say that was the reason it was created. LavaBaron (talk) 03:51, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
- ALT2: ... that the annual Kentucky Avenue Renaissance Festival commemorates the R&B and jazz nightspots that once lined this street in Atlantic City, New Jersey? Yoninah (talk) 12:25, 17 August 2016 (UTC)

- Second review (as required by LavaBaron's editing restrictions):
- Article is new enough (created & nominated on 14 August), long enough (4565 characters), and is within policy.
- ALT2 is short enough, interesting, and supported by inline citations.
- QPQ done.
- Overall, this nomination passes, congratulations. Joseph2302 10:37, 3 September 2016 (UTC)
