Judith Liberman

  • ... that the career of French storyteller Judith Liberman was shaped during her childhood in a commune? Source: "Judith has had a colorful life growing up in a weaving community that spent nights storytelling and sharing songs by a fire. Judith began learning the art of storytelling from the age of 14. She went on to study theater in Pomona, California, storytelling at the conservatory of Paris and ..." {"... has even given a TEDx talk in 2013 on storytelling and the enchanted world. She has also since moved to Istanbul where she has monthly storytelling performances and a weekly radio show and ..." [1]

  • At 2700 bytes, this is long enough. It was new enough when nominated. Article is policy-compliant with no evidence of copyvio (with most sources in Turkish, where I have to AGF). Some more copyediting may also be helpful. The hook is cited to a source that is now 404 but available on Wayback Machine. The source doesn't really say that this shaped her career, so I think the suggestion is a bit WP:SYNTH. While she did grow up in a storytelling commune, she also studied storytelling later, so that may have also have "shaped her career" just as much. CeeGee, do you think you can work on the hook a bit more? Kusma (t·c) 17:13, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
  • ALT 1 ... that Judith Liberman grew up in a commune, where stories were told, studied storytelling, and became a professional in this genre? CeeGee 08:53, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
  • @Kusma: Please check ALT1. I restored the dead-link ref with archive-link as well.CeeGee 08:53, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
  • CeeGee, that looks fine to me. for ALT1. —Kusma (t·c) 09:57, 26 February 2020 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but both hooks are rather dull. What do you think about this:
  • ALT2: ... that Judith Liberman learned storytelling in a French commune at age 14 and went on to reintroduce the telling of Anatolian fairy tales in Turkey? Yoninah (talk) 19:05, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: Yes, ALT2 can be considered. CeeGee 09:44, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Thanks. Pinging @Kusma: to review ALT2. Yoninah (talk) 11:19, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Yes, that's more interesting, and still supported by the sources. —Kusma (t·c) 11:28, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
