@Kingoflettuce: I appreciate your attempt to enlarge this article, but the content is still extremely sketchy. I started to go through the sources and found the Jewish Theological Seminary source to be a treasure trove of biographical information. Even if the page creator just uses this source to add detail, it would look better than it does now. Having over 1500 characters does not automatically guarantee approval for DYK. Per Rule D7, the article should be reasonably complete and not look like a work in progress, which this one still does. I recommend that the page creator put some more work into it so it can be featured on the main page. Yoninah (talk) 21:50, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
- I understand D7 but I feel the content is adequate -- total criteria would not be necessary. The problem lies in the formatting and structure of the article, something I will fix by today. A bit of repackaging, plus the addition of a bit more info, and it will be DYK-worthy. Once again I am certain it would be good to have Russian sources. Aside of his music-based career there are few biographical details, such as his death and marital status. I will keep hunting and finish it by today (within reasonable and acceptable timeframe).
