Jeffrey and Jill Erickson

  • ... that Jeffrey Erickson, who was accused of robbing Chicagoland banks together with his wife Jill, was a former Hoffman Estates police officer? Source: "The accused man, Jeffrey Erickson, 34 years old, a former police officer in Hoffman Estates, a Chicago suburb, was being returned to the Metropolitan Correctional Center after a court appearance at the Dirksen Federal Building at the time of the shootings, said Ross Rice, a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation." (The New York Times [1])
    • ALT1:... that Jeffrey Erickson, who was accused of robbing Chicagoland banks together with his wife Jill, owned and operated a well-regarded Roselle used book store? Source: "In May, Jeff—a voracious reader who often checked out 15 library books at a time—opened a large used-book store in a shopping strip in Roselle. “I had heard bookstores were lucrative,” he says, “and I like working with people.” Customers were impressed; his books were in superb condition, and “he was very knowledgeable about the classics,” said customer Greg Heier." • GTG. New, long and neutral enough, good read, both hooks check out; slight preference for ALT1. Sails slightly close to the "close paraphrase" wind with the People story, but I think just ok (as does Earwig). Passes Earwig comparison with 3 news stories. Johnbod (talk) 14:50, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
