... that Ira F. M. Butler was the Speaker of the House of Representatives in the last session of the Oregon Territorial Legislature prior to statehood?

Source: The 1857 Oregon Territorial Legislative Guide show Butler as speaker while the 1858 legislative guide show there were no House session that year as the decision on Oregon statehood was pending. Oregon became 33rd state on 14 February 1859.
