International Federation for Emergency Medicine edit

  • Comment: This is my first DYK nomination.

  • Comment. Thank you for your submission to DYK, and I am sorry for the belated review. This article is well written in a neutral manner and within policy upon close inspection. Eligible as it was created two days prior to the submission. Impressive length with abundant sources. Hook fact is supported with inline citation (#4) in the lead section. A slight style modification of the hook may be required, I'll propose an alternative for the promoter to choose:
  • ALT1 ... that the IFEM was referred as the "most active organization" dealing with international emergency medicine development? Alex ShihTalk 16:12, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm okay with that, but I guess I don't see the need for the change. If you can explain your reasoning, or even just what criteria the first hook doesn't meet, I would be alright with changing it to your hook. AmericanLemming (talk) 01:36, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

  • Just several style suggestions. The current hook is an exact duplicate from the article, which are generally avoided. #Format: "Concise"; there is no need to mention "international" three times. #Content: A hook should be "Punchy", instead of having multiple claims, it's usually better to just focus on one fact. • Well, I really can't argue with any of that, so I think I'll go with your version. AmericanLemming (talk) 06:28, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
