  • Comment: I am an employee of the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). While I have created this article entirely in my personal time, and was not paid or given time at work to do any of the work on it, I would like to highlight my employment with UTA, especially for purposes of avoiding conflict of interest.

  • Thank you for your comment, the article seems perfectly neutral and unbiased to me. I like ALT1 best, and one could argue that ALT0 is not accurate because the University of Texas at Arlington did not exist during this period. The article is new enough and long enough. The image is in the public domain, the ALT1 hook facts are cited inline and I detected no copyright or plagiarism issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:29, 14 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but I don't see any history in footnote 1. Yoninah (talk) 21:06, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Also, the image is fine, but the image of the 3 female graduates is also nice. Yoninah (talk) 21:08, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Well, Yoninah, it appears that the university deleted the historical content when they redid the website last week, and unfortunately that page was not captured either in the Wayback Machine or in the university's instance of Archive-It. Considering that that source was integral to the article, I would really like to have it treated like an off-line book source. It will take a lot of work to replace it, but I think I could get most (if not all) of that content somewhere in the Saxon book. The Saxon book is available in full online, so if you're up for it, you can help me with it.
  • Regarding using the photograph of the Carlisle Military Academy students instead, I totally agree. I've gone ahead and made the change to the hook. Michael Barera (talk) 07:26, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: OK, I've taken the time to do all the legwork to verify the content from that UTA "History" source in other sources still available to me, namely the Saxon book. I have rectified everything now, but unfortunately some information was lost because I could not confirm it with another source. The most notable change, as it turns out, is the hook, so I've scrapped that and created a modified alternative sourced to the Saxon book. Hopefully this addresses all concerns at this point. • @Michael Barera: thank you, the new source is good and I like the new hook. But if you're saying "boys", why not say "girls", as in the source?
  • ALT2a: ... that while Carlisle Military Academy was nominally a school for boys, its charter called for the acceptance of a "limited number of girls" (pictured)? Yoninah (talk) 23:03, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Fine. ALT2b hook ref verified and cited inline. Rest of review per Cwmhiraeth. ALT2b good to go. Yoninah (talk) 15:40, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
