George Escol Sellers edit

Source #7 "Copies of first editions of The Gilded Age contained the name of Colonel Eschol Sellers. Later editions contained the name Colonel Beriah Sellers. And the name Beriah mutated into Colonel Mulberry Sellers in the stage productions. Mark Twain first offered an explanation of the name change to his readers some years later in his book Life on the Mississippi..

  • Interesting article - new enough, long enough and reliably sourced. I have some concerns about the content though - the entire paragraph under "Later life and death" is obviously copied from an out of copyright source, even down to an OCR error! This needs to be rewritten in its entirety; it may be out of copyright but plagiarism isn't good, however old the source. Prioryman (talk) 11:33, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
  • Comment @Prioryman: Thanks for the quick review. Copy edited and cut. Your concerns have been addressed, I think. 7&6=thirteen () 11:53, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
