ALT1 promoted

Fukuda, Nagasaki

edit
  • ... that Fukuda was the location of the first recorded naval battle between Western and Japanese forces?
  • ALT1:... that by 1566, Fukuda was home to more than 1,000 Catholic Kirishitans?

  • Comment: The Battle of Fukuda Bay was a DYK on 15 December, which led me to creating this article. I am proposing ALT1 in case the first hook is too similar to the one about the battle.

The article is new, timely nominated, it is long enough, neutral. I can't check both of the sources (no link, Japanese language) but I put good faiths on them. Both hooks are interesting, I personally like the ALT1. I don't see the need to put Kirishitans explicitly into the article, so ALT1 approved for me.--Rochelimit (talk) 04:01, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
