Emil Spiridonov edit

Memorial
Memorial
  • ... that the commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral Emil Spiridonov, was among the 16 admirals and generals killed in the 1981 Pushkin Tu-104 crash (memorial pictured)? Sources are in Russian but: "В этой самой страшной в истории Военно-Морского Флота авиакатастрофе погибли 52 человека, в том числе 16 адмиралов и генералов: командующий ТОФ адмирал Э.Спиридонов..." - "In this most terrible plane crash in the history of the Navy, 52 people died, including 16 admirals and generals: the commander of the Pacific Fleet, Admiral E. Spiridonov..." ([1]s)

  • Another impressive article! It is new enough, long enough, neutral, and well referenced. Hook is interesting and supported with Russian source, accepted AGF. QPQ is not required. No copyvio issues. Image is freely licensed. I've slightly reworded the hook as ALT1 below (removing the duplicate word "admiral", and moving the bolded article to the beginning of the sentence). Good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 06:08, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that Emil Spiridonov, commander of the Soviet Pacific Fleet, was among the sixteen admirals and generals killed in the 1981 Pushkin Tu-104 crash (memorial pictured)?
  • Alt1 looks good to me, I've just changed "Russian Pacific Fleet" to "Soviet Pacific Fleet", which it was at that time. Spokoyni (talk) 10:25, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
  • Ah yes, my bad. Revised ALT1 good to go. -Zanhe (talk) 17:36, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
