Daniil Trifonov discography edit

  • New enough, long enough (barely!), and neutrally written. However, the lead, which is what counts for the character count according to DYK criteria, is not well-referenced. The second paragraph has no citations at all, per Rule D2, and there should be some cites for the last sentence in the first paragraph.
  • The image in the article, of him playing the piano, is freely licensed. However, if you want to use this portrait image, it must also appear in the article.
  • ALT1 is worded more smoothly, so we'll go with that. Hook refs verified and cited inline. I tweaked the hook to note his instrument. No QPQ needed for first-time nominator. Yoninah (talk) 00:16, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: Thank you so much for your review. I appreciate your concern, but, as I understand it, inline citations are not necessary per Rule D2, because the lead is excluded in the D2 "rule of thumb" and it also summarizes cited content. The last sentence in the first pararaph, as well as the second paragraph, are entirely supported in the body of the article, which is very well-referenced. If I'm wrong, however, please let me know and I will add inline citations; all I would need to do is re-use the citations via named references. Also, in regards to the photo, I think using File:Daniil Trifonov at Carnegie Hall (26239231599).jpg would be an easier choice, as it already appears in the article. • @Zingarese: You're right, the lead usually doesn't count for citations, but in this type of list article, where the lead is what counts for the 1500 character minimum, it does need to be well referenced. You can definitely re-use the cites. I replaced the image in this nomination with the one in the article, but honestly, it's too dark at thumbnail size. Yoninah (talk) 00:51, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
@Yoninah: I added inline citations - I hope this is sufficient. Also, in regards to the image, it looks fine from my computer monitor, but here are all of Trifonov's photographs on Commons. Thanks again, and please let me know if you have any more concerns! Zingarese (talk) 02:49, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 10:47, 24 June 2018 (UTC)
