  • Hook is too bland. I suggest the alt hook below:
ALT1: ... that it takes 5 kilograms (11 lb) of Chilean jack mackerel to raise 1 kilogram (2.2 lb) of salmon?
In addition, the article has little content directly pertaining to the subject. I have attempted to correct this by adding a description subsection and transferring part of the lead to the body itself. The immediate subsection of the text being that of similar species was quite inappropriate. This should be an article about Trachurus murphyi, not on its closest relatives. Please expand them further if necessary. Also please be careful when to use parentheses in author citations. The species was originally described by John Treadwell Nichols under the same name. Thus Nichols, 1920 should not be enclosed in parentheses.
Lastly, please reword the quoted paragraph on the last section. It's not attributable to anyone and can easily be incorporated into the text itself. I've done the same for Pauly's quote. Using unnecessary quoteboxes result in a great deal of whitespace.-- OBSIDIANSOUL 14:06, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
