Charles Wilkins (writer)

  • Reviewed: NA (4th DYK nomination)

Improved to Good Article status by RLO1729 (talk). Self-nominated at 22:35, 13 March 2020 (UTC).

  • review in progress. First time reviewing so perhaps another reviewer should take a look. Think the main hook is a bit long and lacks punch. suggest leaving out the "a prolific writer of historical accounts of Wales and its industries". Consider something like ... that Charles Wilkins (1830–1913), who wrote about the history of Wales, was described as "an Englishman with a Welshman's enthusiasm"?Jlvsclrk (talk) 03:19, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: None required.

Overall: Cheers, jlvsclrk

  • Thanks for the review. What about
  • ALT2:... that Charles Wilkins (1830–1913), who wrote prolifically about the history of Wales, was described as "an Englishman with a Welshman's enthusiasm"?
