At 771 prose characters, article does not qualify for DYK

5x expanded by Davidbena (talk). Self-nominated at 19:04, 3 November 2016 (UTC).

  • This certainly sounds like an interesting hook about an interesting individual. However, there are a few issues that need to be addressed before this article can be approved (per WP:DYKRULES):
  1. The article was not 5x expanded in the seven days prior to its nomination (approx. 260 characters to 770 characters by my count). This article will require further expansion to satisfy the 5x expansion criterion.
  2. The prose in this article is shorter than the 1500 character minimum (I am excluding the list of his works). This article will require further expansion to satisfy the 1500 character criterion.
  3. Much of the article is not supported by inline citations to reliable sources. All assertions in the article need to be supported by inline citations.
  4. The facts mentioned in the proposed hooks do not appear in this article. The facts in the hook need to appear in the article.
Let me know how you would like to proceed. Best, -- Notecardforfree (talk) 11:32, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
I realized this only after submitting the DYK candidate. Because of my very busy work schedule, the expansion of this article will have to be postponed until a later time, since I will not be able to do this within the time-frame of seven days. Is there a way for me to keep everything on hold?Davidbena (talk) 14:26, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
Davidbena, if you think you'll be able to work on this next week, then I'm fine keeping this nomination open pending article improvements. If you think it will take you longer than two weeks to make the necessary revisions, then the best course of action will be to re-nominate this at a future time. It doesn't look like it would be too difficult to do another 5x expansion at a later time (thereby making this article eligible again). Just let me know what you would like to do. Since I am very, very busy these days, I would prefer to expand the article in about another month's time, or so. So, I can re-submit the DYK application. Thanks for your kindness.Davidbena (talk) 16:39, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Article is ineligible for DYK and nominator has stated his intention not to expand it for the time being. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:39, 20 November 2016 (UTC)
