This template is intended to be called by Module:Current events monthly archive and populated with arguments before being displayed on monthly archives of Portal:Current events. For an example archive, see Portal:Current events/September 2011.
Parameters

| be-verb | "is" for the current month, and "was" for months in the past | was |
| month-ordinal | The ordinal month number, as an English word | ninth |
| leap-desc | The leap year status of the year | common |
| moon-note | If the month had no full moon, this is a note to that effect; otherwise, blank | |
| decade-note | If the month is the first or last of a decade, century, or millennium, a note to that effect; otherwise blank | |
| first-day-of-month | Name of the first day of the month | Thursday |
| last-day-of-month | Name of the last day of the month | Friday |
| days-in-month | The number of days in the month | 30 |
| main-content | The content of all current events portal pages for the month | (omitted) |
