Usage edit
This template should be placed in the References section of an article if the article incorporates text from Dyer's Compendium.
Examples edit
Currently this template can be used with no parameters {{CWR}} or the template can be given a Roman numeral parameter which will include the part information. e.g. {{CWR|III}}.
These display as:

While the 1908 Compendium was a single-volume publication in 3-parts, later editions would be released in two or three-volumes. They still make use of the same part numbers, however.
Hidden category edit
This template includes a hidden category – Category:Wikipedia articles incorporating text from A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion – which does not appear at the bottom of an article page but does contain any article page that contains this template.
