Please make sure to update:

  1. Both teams: Update the record of both teams (not just the winner or the team you support).
  2. Every column: Update every column (not just W-L-T-PCT).
  3. Correct positions: Make sure the teams are in the correct positions. In particular, make sure teams with the same record are ranked correctly based on the tiebreakers of the OWL.
  4. The 2021 tiebreakers are listed here:
    1. Tournament Cycle Tiebreakers
      1. Map Differential in qualifying matches
      2. Head-to-Head record in qualifying matches; for ties among three or more teams, this step is only applied if there is a head-to-head sweep (i.e. if one team has defeated each of the others or lost to each of the others)
      3. Strength of schedule evaluated by adding opponents’ league points in qualifying matches
      4. Strength of schedule evaluated by adding opponents’ map differentials in qualifying matches
      5. If a tie between two or more teams remains, postseason tiebreakers will be applied
    2. Postseason Tiebreakers
      1. Overall Regular Season wins
      2. Overall Regular Season map differential
      3. Head-to-head regular season match differential
      4. Head-to-head regular season map differential
      5. Head-to-head regular season match differential against shared opponents
      6. Head-to-head regular season map differential against shared opponents
      7. If a tie remains after all tiebreakers have been exhausted, a tie breaker match will be played.

The teams should be sorted according to the OWL tiebreaking rules, as indicated by such reliable sources as OWL's official standings.

Because of the complexities of the tiebreaking rules, anything that is not verifiable may be reverted on grounds of original research. The footnotes listing the tiebreakers are currently displayed using the "lower-alpha" predefined footnote group (see WP:EXPLNOTE).
