Important Landmarks edit

- This specific article does not speak about any buildings or important areas within the town, but rather speaks a lot about how many people live in the town

- There are a lot of important areas within the Town of Yorktown that are important to its history and to the town presently

- Need to mention schools, police station, old railroad track, restaurants, mall, track, etc.

Events edit

- It would also be nice to mention different fundraisers and events that occur within the town

- The article speaks merely of the fact that Yorktown is a CDP, and talks about its demographics rather that what actually occurs within the town

- Some examples include Relay for Life, Community Day, Street Fair, Summer Concert Series, etc.

Population issues edit

In the lede, the assertion is made that "The population of the Yorktown Heights CDP was 1,781 at the 2010 census.[3]", yet in the Demographics section, we learn that "As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 7,972 people, 2,629 households, and 2,163 families residing in the CDP." If true, this locale has suffered a more catastrophic population loss than Detroit's over the past 70 years. Something does not jibe. 173.245.131.67 (talk) 21:42, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

WP:RS The New York Times deleted on 3 July 2017 edit

User:Guerillero deleted the following WP:RS:

There are two golf courses in Yorktown Heights: the private Sanctuary Golf Club and the county-owned Mohansic Golf Course.[1]

This is evidently in violation of WP:PRESERVE and numerous other policies. The non-WP:NPOV pretext for the deletion of well-sourced material was "cruft to prove a political point". XavierItzm (talk) 22:42, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
