ynediol = acetylenediol?
editAren't compounds like HO-CC-CC-OH or HO-CC-CH2-CC-OH also called ynediols? My example compounds both are not very stable, but there could be other more complicated compounds containing two CC-OH groups at different places. And what about a simple diol containing a triple bond (like HO-CH2-CC-CH2-OH)? These theoretically are also yne-diols. - A ynediol is a compound containing two OH groups on the carbons of the SAME triple bond - therefore, only acetylenediol can be a ynediol. Whoop whoop pull up Bitching Betty | Averted crashes 18:40, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Alkynols and Ynols
editIn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alkynol appears the statement "[Alkynols] are not identical to the Ynols".
