Crossover

(Seperate Edit by Another Author) I would like to add here as an additional, That Tsubasa and XXXHolic are Crossovers of each other throughout their entire run. The first Book of both XXXHolic and Tsubasa contain the first meetings of The Occult Gang of XXXHolic, and the Dimensional Travelers of Tsubasa. It's not just an appearance cameo, It's an integral Part of the story. They continue to have contacts throughout the two Stories that drive the two plots along.

The World of XXXHolic can be deduced as the same universe as CCS takes place in, Hence the hints about a Certain Item being only a model and not the real thing.

The Tagline for this series is, (Or at least it should be...) "There is no such thing as Coincidence, There is only Hitsuzen. Everything happens for a reason, and there is a Reason for everything we do."

I did add a reference to them "frequently" crossing over with each other and being "intimately linked" in one of my edits, but you may wish to expand on this in another subsection, referencing specific ways and points in the plot in which they cross over with each other (such as the Dimensional Travelers sending "interesting" objects to Yūko, like the apple - in Tsubasa there is even this whole scene revolving around each of the Travelers discussing what an "apple" is in their respective language/world - or the Mokona that came from Yūko and now travels with them, serving as both a link to Yūko and as a translation device). Haruka Shizuka?

Under Doumeki's granfather it lists his name as being both "Haruka Doumeki" and "Haruka Shizuka", which seems to indicate that someone was unsure of what his name was. I'm 99% positive that his last name is Doumeki, since Haruka and Shizuka are both given names. Unless someone can tell me another reason that's there I'm going to remove it since it just creates confusion. Katsuhagi 03:48, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

he prefers to be called Haruka Domeki in the chapter 10 of teh manga he tells that to Watanuki in a dream. I know this becuase Watanuki asked him how would he be rather called. And he says thats the name he prefers. But the Shizuka name is part of of his name I guess.

"Shizuka" is Doumeki's given name. His grandfather's name is Doumeki Haruka. Watanuki called the grandfather "Doumeki" in the beginning, and was asked to call him "Haruka" to avoid confusion with his grandson. --KagamiNoMiko 22:15, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Character name meanings

There's already a reference to the meaning of Watanuki's name, but I discovered that the "侑" in Yûko's name means "to help, assist, repay kindness" and "suggest, give advice." I think this may be worth adding under trivia since it has to do with her role in the story. Likewise, Shizuka ("静") means "quiet or calm" and reflects on Domeki's character. I find it interesting, so is it worth adding to the article? --Katsuhagi 01:40, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

I think at least for Yuuko, this is an interesting information to have. I'd add it. --KagamiNoMiko 14:18, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Alright. I've already added Doumeki's under trivia in his article. Katsuhagi 18:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Reversion 28/09/05

Continual (happening repeatedly) is better in this context than continuous (happening constantly with no interruptions). Also was there a reason for the cAPiTALizaTIon? ~ VeledanTalk + new 23:00, 28 September 2005 (UTC)

Characters

There really should be more in this entry about the characters of the series and the plot. In Watanuki's character page there is a run down of most of the characters of the manga (under "Relationships") and I really feel like that should be moved to the main article. However, someone has raised a question of copyvio about them, though there's no proof, so I'm a little leery of doing so. Grianne 16:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Thats good. Someone should sort out Kemihiro, on this page it says it means "to search for someone" on Watanuki's perspective page it says it means "prophet". -- Psi edit 02:55, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Names in western order

Could someone double-check to make sure I got all the names in western order of given name/surname? Even DelRay isn't consistent in which is the given and which is the surname and I had to check with a fansub and listen to which name was given first and reverse the order. Hopefully, I got them right. --TheFarix (Talk) 13:02, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

Split episode section to it's own article

I've gone ahead and split the list of episodes to it's own article List of ×××HOLiC episodes, since it has gotten so large, and will continue to do so. Be sure to add the new article to your watchlist and continue to contribute there as well :D -- Ned Scott 07:18, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

place movie in anime

Does someone know in which order the anime and the movie should be watched? It's obvious that the movie is placed after episode 1 of the anime. But exactly where?

I doubt there's an "official" placement, but it's the summer holidays in the movie, isn't it? You might be able to deduce a timeline from there. --KagamiNoMiko 19:17, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

The movie shares this page with the anime and manga. The second paragraph of the article says "The animated movie xxxHolic: A Midsummer Night's Dream was released in Japan on August 20, 2005. The DVD of the movie was released on February 25, 2006 and a TV animation series began airing on TBS on April 6, 2006 in Japan. Both the movie and TV series have been licensed by FUNimation for the USA.". -- Ned Scott 01:24, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
