Effects on area
WHS is responsible for several large teenage parties per year where there is sexual activity, underage drinking, and marijuana use involving many WHS students. These parties are often allowed by parents and parents are sometimes even home. The student populace has light social pressures, but parts often swear and disparages mentally retarded, homosexual, and non-white races through common pejorative use and explanations for others behavior. About half of the parents will give their children alcohol at any time. Marijuana, alcohol, and tobacco are brought onto campus often. Sadism towards the idea of running people and animals over with vehicles is common. This high school has received much contempt from the community. The graffiti wall at the skate rink was painted with a 'smoke marijuana bitch' mural about one-two years ago.
