Objection to Deletion edit

This entry certainly should not be deleted because it's notable as a film starring Cary Grant and Myrna Loy, two of the most prominent performers of the 1930s, who each enjoyed careers spanning decades. Somebody help me here. Upsmiler (talk) 13:48, 1 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the article holds merit on its own and deserves to keep its page status. I don't have the time at the moment. But here's a part of a book that briefly discusses the creation of the story by Nell Shipman, perhaps it could add some substance to the article. [1] P.s. (talk) 15:18, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, that was fascinating and helpful, and I was startled by how accomplished Nell Shipman was when I read about her. Upsmiler (talk) 16:13, 2 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

anyway, i think i found enough sources to establish notability. i'm surprised that no one had mentioned that it was their first film together. it is a pretty lousy movie, though, but it's been written about. — alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 14:10, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, Alf! And you're right, I'd forgotten they later did Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House together. Thanks for putting in this work, it's superb. Upsmiler (talk) 18:03, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
