Wikipedia in Crime?
editShould notable mentions of Wikipedia relating to criminal cases be included either here or elsewere on the site? This could include: Wikipedias coverage of a criminal case if the coverage is itself notable (Gabby Petito comes to mind, maybe similar to the Wikipedia and the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine article); significant mentions of Wikipedia during a court case (similar to the existing "in politics" section); and direct involvement of Wikipedia in the crime (like the recent D.C. shooter editing Wikipedia articles of his target before and during the crime, and his profile here that has been mentioned in the coverage). That last one might be considered giving perpetrators too much publicity, though there is probably a balance to include a selected few major cases on a relatively low trafficed page like this, I doubt anyone would argue that the List of mass shootings in the United States is encouraging more mass shootings.
