Talk:Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (British game show)/Archive 1

Many years ago there was a question which was answered correctly. It later transpired that the correct answer was wrong. I cannot remember what the question was, but I think it was a logical one. If anybody can remember it, I would like to know. I think it ocurred in the first series. Tommy Trouble 20:15 02/02/2006

That's the one. Thanks for that, and especially the rapid reply. Tommy Trouble 13:30 08/02/2006

I think that the original answer is correct. The question asks "Theoretically, what is the minimum number of strokes with which a tennis player can win a set". The answer given was 24, i.e. 6 games of 4 strokes each. But others have argued that 3 of the games won could be as a result of double faults. But these are not strokes by the player winning a set. The question asks how many strokes does a player need. The question stated this way requires him to play a stroke, so I maintain that 12 is incorrect and that 24 is the correct answer.Howestrange (talk) 20:00, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

There was another occasion several years later, in which two of the answers given turned out to be correct. One of them, which the contestant went for, was classed as a wrong answer but this was disputed by viewers, and the contestant was allowed back. The question was for £64,000, and he was therefore invited back to tackle a £125,000 question.

Title makes no sense

Isn't Who Wants to Be a Millionaire originally a UK show anyway? Zocky | picture popups 23:33, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

I agree - it seems like parts of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire article are duplicated in this one. Also the link on this page to the past winner Robert Brydges redirects to this page!! This seems a bit strange. AndPud 19:33, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Asim Saleem

Who is this guy?

Daniel Craig

How did he win if that day hasn't happened yet?

It's vandalism that someone added days ago and no one noticed (ditto 'Asim Saleem'). I've just removed it. BillyH 14:23, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
