Weston Tower and Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries in the triforium
Hello, wouldn't it be nice to have pictures and information on the newly build Weston Tower, on the outside between the Chapter House and Henry VII's Lady Chapel, giving access to the triforium where the new Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries are created? The only picture so far is the one from 2017 where construction activity is visible. 2A02:2C40:100:B20B:0:0:1:1A0C (talk) 10:16, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- I was about to say the same thing. The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries are mentioned three times in the article at the moment. They were opened on 8 June 2018. More info here and here. Lots can be written about this. About the Weston Tower, does this qualify as a new tower? The article infobox currently says there are two towers. This one is a tiddler compared to the two main towers, but still... It is also a very modern tower, as can be seen here. It is essentially a stair-and-lift access tower built to allow people to reach the triforium space. Named after Garfield Weston's foundation, not Hugh Weston.
