Talk:West Frisia (historical)

Is there any difference between West Frisia (historical) and West Friesland (historical region)? If they are just two alternative names for the same place, these articles should be merged. --Russ (talk) 11:48, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have redirected as they are the same thing. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
How do you know they are the same? I have reverted your redirection. Triomio (talk) 13:43, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Actually, as this new article's author it is your obligation to provide sources stating that these areas are different. And judging from Talk:Friesland this is not your only controversial article, so please try to back up your edits by providing reliable sources. De728631 (talk) 19:48, 7 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Actually, if anyone could read and decipher the first sentence in that article, an article which is not new and predates the creation of my account, then no-one would rush in anymore to claim the two articles talk about the same thing. Maybe it gets easier for you, if you read the article as it existed after creation in 2005: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=West_Frisia_(historical)&oldid=32157831 Triomio (talk) 04:06, 10 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
I've never had any problems reading the article, my problem is that there never have been any sources provided. And reinstating an article from a previous after four years is much the same as writing the same text from scratch, including the responsibility of adding sources to back up the reverting of the redirect. Not to mention that we are currently trying to sort and disambiguate the various definitions associated with West Frisia, West Friesland, whathaveyou, at Talk:Friesland.
