Reference suggestion

edit

Does this reference work for article? I remembered making a draft about that article many years ago, and I wasn't sure if the omission of that reference was deserved, so out of curiosity I wanted to confirm if using that reference is okay:

  • "Footer definition". TechTerms.com. Retrieved on 14 May 2015.

@Qwertyxp2000 That seems like a WP:SPS and is not allowed. I'd suggest looking at Google Books or Google Scholar for some good info. The current source of MDN is also not really great and should ideally be replaced with something static. But since Mozilla is a browser vendor that makes them kind of authoritive. Makes sense. I was trying to look up "website footer" on normal Google and other normal search engines but all I gotten were promotional stuff about website footers and not academic stuff. Thanks for the suggestions of better source engines specific to reliable sources (Google Books and Google Scholar); was considering doing Google Scholar, but that thought never got into my head until now. Yeah it's sad how bad Google results have gotten in recent years. I hope Google doesn't discontinue their scholar and books search engines. But good luck searching! PhotographyEdits (talk) 14:43, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
