Talk:WarGames match

Tidied up the article a bit jj

I edited the entry for War Games XI. Hennig didn't sub for Anderson, he replaced him as a member of the Horsemen. Arn Anderson had recently retired and AA gave Hennig his "spot" in the Horsemen. THX-1138 02:42, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I edited the entry for ROH. CZW's Cage of Death has been held under War Games rules previously, so the match wasn't a combination of the CoD and Steel Cage Warfare. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr. Papaya (talkcontribs) 00:01, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why was the Bodyslam Wrestling Organization entry for their War Games match removed? If it was removed by a rival promoter, grow up and stop deleting the info, thanks. 24.187.134.112 (talk) 00:40, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

If we're going to include every hole-in-the-wall indie promotion to ever hold a match inspired by War Games, then there are about two dozen more to be added... There's no citation or record of half of the orgs listed, and none of the wrestlers are noteworthy enough to have their own pages. If those are going to stand, I may add the two HWF and the one XCW one I've seen... 214.3.138.234 (talk) 16:37, 19 October 2010 (UTC)SteveReply

Why not list the three team War Games match by WCW and the one held on WCW Nitro. edit

They may not have been like a traditional War Games macth. But they where offical War Games matches. So they should be listed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.37.137.237 (talk) 03:16, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Spin off matches - how about World Class Triple Dome of Terror? edit

As seen in the 1988 Parade Of Champions for the Texas Round-up battle royal and earlier hair match between Hayes and Gordy. The Triple Tower of Doom from the 1988 Bach PPV, which was a blatant rip off of the Triple Dome was considered by Dusty to be a legit offshoot of the War Games and WWE concurred by including the BAsh match on the War Games 3 DVD set. 62.190.148.115 (talk) 11:24, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why no Lethal Lockdown history in War Games? edit

Since Lethal Lockdown is a variation of the War Games match how come its (Lethal Lockdown's) history isn't listed on the page as well? Is it because it has 1 ring instead of 2? - 2A02:C7D:C28:4B00:C408:95A0:4BC9:39D0 (talk) 10:50, 11 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Participant list edit

A couple weeks ago I started a list of Participants just like the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, HIAC, Money in the Bank matches, why was it deleted instead of finished? 172.90.216.7 (talk) 02:15, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Because [1] looked terrible. Don't add something unfinished. Its not your job to assign tasks for others people to finish. You had capital letters in the middle of words. Its better to not have it than to have something that looks like that. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 15:23, 25 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

The "Spin-off matches" section makes no sense. edit

There's no purpose for the Spin-off matches section if AEW is the only promotion listed. AEW's Blood & Guts matches should either be listed in "Other promotions" or given its own dedicated section (since Blood & Guts is now an annual recurring event).

The "Spin-off matches" section should be for non-traditional variants of the WarGames match (ex. one ring, with or without a cage). AEW's Blood & Guts is WarGames in all but name. Thecleanerand (talk) 19:17, 24 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
