Name

Should we perhaps move this article to "Decken's sifaka", the name used by Lemurs of Madagascar and given as an alternative on the IUCN Red List? It's simpler, and seems to be more common in the general literature (which is rather limited, since this species doesn't appear to be well-studied). Ucucha 23:56, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Yes, and a typo that goes all the way back to Eliot (1912). The discoverer, incidentally, appears to be Karl Klaus von der Decken. Ucucha 01:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Conservation Status

The side bar has its status listed as endangered but towards the bottom of the page it says it's extinct. We need to figure out if it is still around and list it properly. Also I think we should include threats to its survival. Kdub828 (talk) 20:16, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
