Split from Volvo Dealer Racing

This article has been split from Volvo Dealer Racing as it was a distinctly different team:

• 1) VDT competed in the Australian Touring Car Championship in 1986, VDR in the Group E and Australian Super Touring Championships between 1994 and 1999
• 2} Both had seperate ownership structures, VDT was an in house operation run by Volvo Australia, VDR was outsourced to George Shepherd's Roadsafe Motorsport
• 3) VDT was based in Melbourne, VDR 1,400 kilometres away in Brisbane
• 4) None of the personnel or assets involved in the 1986 campaign formed part of the 1990s effort
• 5) Had VDT folded one year, and VDR commenced the following year, there may have been scope to suggest it was a continuation, but not after an 8 year break
• 6) So much like the Holden Dealer Team and Holden Racing Team both performed the role as Holden's factory team, that is where the commonality ends V7867 (talk) 21:02, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
