Talk:Voltage Identification Digital

Latest comment: 12 years ago by Wtshymanski

The term "Voltage Identification Digital" is most likely wrong as VID simply stands for "Voltage Indentification" or "Voltage ID" for short according to the Intel document "Voltage Regulator-Down (VRD)" 11.0 http://www.intel.com/assets/pdf/designguide/313214.pdf dated November 2006. So this article ought to be replaced by a new one of essentially the same content but under the correct name. It should then be referenced in the "Intel Core 2" article. This was the wrong title anyway, and had been tagged for a merge for a long time. I've merged this to Voltage regulator module and included the above Intel document as a reference. --Wtshymanski (talk) 19:44, 5 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
