Review coming soon. In the meantime, I'd appreciate very much if you could reciprocate by reviewing my pending GANs, such as Speak Now World Tour – Live. Ippantekina (talk) 09:04, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Lead edit

  • "gaining attention from Apple Inc.'s reveal of the iPhone X" unclear
Mention something about the fact that her song was used in the reveal. Ippantekina (talk) 06:05, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • "the former single" → "the first of which" because "former"/"latter" are used for two objects

Background and release edit

  • "Blackery played in local bands since she was 18 until she decided to pursue a solo career in 2012" her birth year would be helpful to add context
    • May I ask why? Seems to be a bit out of place. Sebbirrrr (talk) 19:40, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
The transition from age (18) to year (2012) doesn't mean much; either add her birth year for context or add the year when she was 18 (hope it makes sense..) Ippantekina (talk) 06:07, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • "The latter's extended play cover artwork" ditto → "The cover artwork of Magnetised"
  • Why bolding "Emma Blackery European Tour"?
  • "for various formats" such as?

Music and lyrics edit

  • "Blackery started writing the song two weeks before Taylor Swift released "Look What You Made Me Do" (2017)" interesting, but would be more helpful to explore the connections between the two songs rather than just skimming on the name-dropping
  • Link synths
  • For the lyrical interpretations, either attribute the quotes or paraphrase them i.e.
    • In "Icarus", Blackery details "[her] own shortcomings and [her] own flaws" and "how [she] get[s] involved in all this public stuff and regret[s] it"
    • Paraphrased: In "Icarus", Blackery details her flaws and regrets of public experiences.

Overall edit

  • The rest of the article is well done. I'd like ref 5 to be replaced by a non-primary source if possible, though this is not a requirement. Putting this   On hold. Ippantekina (talk) 09:18, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot for reviewing my articles again :) Just posting this to let you know I will review Speak Now World Tour – Live, however I will do it in a couple of days as I am busy irl. Sebbirrrr (talk) 18:21, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
    @Ippantekina: Addressed your comments! Couldn't find a non-primary source for ref 5 unfortunately. Sebbirrrr (talk) 19:40, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Sebbirrrr: Thanks! I have responded to two remaining points above, Ippantekina (talk) 06:08, 28 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
