  • Vault (cheerleading), a cheerleading stunt in which the hands of the top person are used to assist in clearing a base or prop
  • Vault (fencing), from en garde with right foot forward, the forward knee straightens while the rear foot steps behind, to the right, and forward, thus pulling the forward foot to pivot around on the ball of the foot so that the back is turned forward. This step is used to evade a thrust by removing the torso from the line of attack.
  • Vault (meteorology), a bounded weak echo region (abbreviated BWER) of a nearly vertical channel of weak radar echo, surrounded on the sides and top by significantly stronger echo. The BWER, sometimes called a vault, is related to the strong updraft in a severe convective storm that carries newly formed hydrometeors to high levels before they can grow to radar- detectable sizes. BWERs are typically found at midlevels of convective storms, 3–10 km above the ground, and are a few kilometers in horizontal diameter. See also weak echo region.
  • EDM vault , the EDM System's computerized data storage area and databases. System rules and processes control information stored in the EDM vault. A term used to designate the secure storage location for documents in an EDM system.
