Order of sections
I have moved the interesting text sections Controversies and Athletics up on the page above the not-so-interesting lists of buildings. I have moved the list of presidents down towards the bottom for the same reason: put the interesting stuff at the beginning and the lists below. JimGibson1 (talk) 18:41, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Richard Glockner Listing
I noticed that Richard Glockner appears under noteable employees. I work for the math department at UNI and I have never heard of Richard Glockner, yet I've heard of the other people listed under Notable Employees. Would you please say what Dr. Glockner is known for. -Diabolos 17:09, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know who he is but I found this: http://www.donnareed.org/html/templates/dr_profile.php?drf_person=rglockner --vossman 20:44, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- It might just be self-advertizing. --vossman 20:47, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'll ask my sister or my boss about his importance. -Diabolos 05:07, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- His name should probably be removed, not every prof. at UNI gets their name on the list unless there's an explanation as to why they're important. I can think of many more profs at UNI who should be on the list before him. --12.219.28.208 03:44, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Removed his name, if someone wants to put it back, please provide a justification beyond "actor."--12.219.28.208 04:00, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Lang Hall caption
just wanted to point out that the caption below the photo of lang hall is incorrect. it is not the oldest building on campus, but it is however the oldest classroom building on campus. the oldest building on campus is the ethnic minorities cultural and educational center (EMCEC; but this building is now becoming the honors house), which was the original president's house and was built ten years (1890) before the auditorium (Lang Hall) was built (1900). this information can be verified at the following website: http://www.library.uni.edu/speccoll/bh/bhemcec.html
Fair use rationale for Image:Northern Iowa.svg
Image:Northern Iowa.svg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Noteable Alumni
Just wanted to say if we are going to point out noteable alumni as simply being "Former NFL Players" with out some special acomplishment, we are missing a lot of players over the years. I am drawing a blank on most of their names at the moment, but there have been several that would qualify simply as "Former NFL Players". The most noteable I am thinking of is the Kicker Frost. He may not have been an extreamly noteable kicker, but he was the kicker for the Browns, Redskins, and Packers over a 6 year career...Just think that we either need to remove those that did not make acomplishments in the sport, or else add them all. What does everyone else think. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.112.32.4 (talk) 16:11, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
