Opening heading

Mike Adams is certainly worthy of an entry in this article. He is probably better known then Leutze or Midori in the public sphere now due to the syndication of his columns. The constant deletion of his name is politically and ideologically motivated and needs to stop. I wouldn't delete Noam Chomsky from the MIT article, regardless of what I think of him.

I agree with the above, also someone has deleted the College Republicans from the wikipedia site also, not cool.

Can some please clean up the notable person section? The only alumni/former students I consider relevant are Struckie, Willis, Tyson, Blizzard, Land, Ulrich, Porter, Prince, and Calipari. Just because you win teacher of the year, played basketball this decade (Europe is nothing to be proud of, Blizzard only because he has every record at UNCW), are an activist or author with nothing to note, doesn't make you a notable alumni. Please stick with people that others will know, or state what makes them notable, such as being the first female in a position within a large corporation. Also, regarding Mike Adams, he is an author, a columnist of Townhall.com, and has been a guest on a national talkshow or two; therefore his name should be included and if it continues to be deleted, it will be reported as abuse. I made the changes from IP 152.23.92.98. For whatever reason, it showed me logged in, but put the IP up instead of my user name. I do not have any connection to UNCW or a COI with editing the UNCW page, as I told User:Bluehole and as User:Towerpower2008 is now asserting. My IP is not at UNCW. Galloway is the oldest dorm on the campus and has the typical arrangement of shared bathrooms for the entire hall and is the exception to the high quality accommodations at the university.

The second part of "and is the exception to the high quality accommodation at the university." needed to be removed. University of North Carolina Wilmington

The official names of the schools in the university system are determined by the North Carolina Legislature. UNC Wilmington as named in the NCGS The first instance of the name in the article should be the official name per Wikipedia policy. I've added the cite to the article. Your own source even states that the official name of the university uses the "at": On formal documentation such as diplomas, transcripts and contracts, the legal name of the university, University of North Carolina at Wilmington, is required. University of North Carolina at Wilmington → University of North Carolina Wilmington – As I stated in the above discussion, the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the proper name for this article. While the "at Wilmington" is its legally chartered name, the only place it appears is on the diploma. The university rebranded itself a long time ago as University of North Carolina Wilmington and per its own style guidelines[2] the only place it should appear with the "at" is on the diploma and contracts with the university. I would strongly prefer having the article at the official name to keep the format consistent with the other schools in the UNC system, but having the article title be the common name is acceptable under Wikipedia policy. However, the first instance of the name should be the full legal name according to Wikipedia policy. The same thing is done at the North Carolina State University article. Nobody ever uses the "at Raleigh" part of NC State's official name, but it is included in the first instance. Rreagan007 (talk) 15:32, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

The unilateral decision to move this article by Sportdude136(talk) should have been preceded by some discussion and perhaps consensus here on the talk page. There obviously had been some in the past when the decision was made to move the article to University of North Carolina Wilmington, which remains the way the university presents itself. Here's the updated style guide[3] since the link from 3 years ago is now dead. I'm still of the opinion the article should be at University of North Carolina Wilmington since the only places the legally chartered name appears are on the diploma and in the state statute.
