The current chief of mission is Yasuko Shimizu. UNHCR won the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development in 2015.   Done The infobox was changed to reflect Chennai, and Mr. Goodwin's description was altered to read as goodwill ambassador. The other elements from your request already exist in the article.

New reception section edit

Amicuswiki07, you have created a new "Reception" section with this content:

The UNHCR was embroiled in the controversy around Rohingya refugees being criminal prosecuted for entering into the country without appropriate documents. While the CAA (Citizen Amendment Act of 2019) law that amended India's refugee policy affects many refugees, the UNHCR has committed themselves to protected all the rights of refugees seeking asylum. The Indian UNHCR has stated that it "continues to advocate for the non-penalisation of refugees and asylum-seekers for immigration-related issues and works together with relevant stakeholders to secure the immediate release of those arrested."[1] Despite not being one of the covered countries under the CAA law, Myanmar refugees through the help of the UNHCR have become one of the most populous refugees in the country.[2]

"Reception" means how the organisation has been received by other notable individuals or bodies. Which individuals or bodies are mentioned here?

Secondly, your opening sentence starts with a "controversy". Where is the source for this? Who called it a contoversy? -- Kautilya3 (talk) 10:16, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
