Spelling
If a source uses the term "Truecrypt",[1] should we correct it to read "TrueCrypt"? What if the source uses "TRUECRYPT"?[2][3] Should we say that the source calls it "TRUECRYPT", "Truecrypt", or "TrueCrypt"? I am leaning towards always using "TrueCrypt". (See MOS:CAMELCASE for guidance). Also note that the last known developer called it "truecrypt" in response to an inquiry that called it "Truecrypt",[4] but the official website calls it "TrueCrypt".[5] --Guy Macon (talk) 18:48, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, Guy
- The Arbitration Committee has ruled that editors should not change an article from one styling to another without "substantial reason". "TrueCrypt" has been the dominant spelling in this article for a very long time and changing the case of "C" is a matter of optional style. All you have to do is to make sure it is consistently used. Changing "C" to "c" is really a color of the bike shed issue.
- Best regards,
