Contested deletion

edit

This page must not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement.

This is total nonsense. I created this very brief page, wrote it from scratch. The page quoted says at the bottom:

"Partly based on Transmission characteristic from Wikipedia (licence GFDL, CC-BY-SA 3.0, authors, history, edit this page)"

The article cited would have violated Wikipedia's copyright, it Wikipedia's content were subject to copyright!

Before recommending articles for deletion, please check the age and provenance of the article with matching text - an awful lot of stuff is taken from Wikipedia. As the banner on the page says: "Please be sure that the source of the copyright violation is not itself a Wikipedia mirror."

"Wikipedia is subject to copyright." In that case, while I personally wouldn't approve, maybe Wikipedia should take action against the page that copied the content of this article? The web page seems to consist entirely, or almost entirely, of text copied from several Wikipedia articles. Pol098 (talk) 16:59, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
