neutrality dispute

There's a notice concerning an neutrality dispute listed on the article, but I don't see anything about it after the article was removed from VfD. Can anyone explain where and why this article's neutrality is disputed? - Scooter 06:23, 26 Jan 2004 (UTC)

"Time is money" redirect

Hrm. The article Time has a link to Time is money which redirects here currently.. Are there 'unequal' time dollars as well?

The article is stating that time-dollars are equal value time-exchange devices - one hour for one hour no matter what the nature of the activity is. Are there any time-dollars that are not equal time-value exchange (for example, one hour of basic work is one time-dollar, but one hour of legal advice is more that one time-dollar?)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.46.5.62 (talk • contribs) 02:09, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

That's my main objection to the flat wage system: in a full employment economy (and I believe all economies should be full-employment), it leaves no incentive to expend the time and money needed to get an education and increase the value of one's work. NeonMerlin 18:11, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Ithaca Hours

The picture of the Ithaca Hours shouldn't be on this page. Ithaca Hours are not a time-based currency at all, in the way time banking is. Ithaca Hours have a fixed exchange rate to the US Dollar (1 Hour = 10 USD). Also, they are issued as a fiat currency, with no formal backing. The term 'hour' was chosen because 10 USD at one point was considered to be one hour worth of work. OakTree 21:58, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

Works great

I printed out some time currency that I use between my girlfriend and me. When she needs help on her term papers she pays me with it. I can then purchase labor from her with them, whenever I feel the need. It works great. But, we do have to negotiate because different kinds of labor aren't comparable if you're only looking at time. But it's a good way to keep track of things to make sure your significant other is not taking advantage of you.Anarcho-capitalism 18:32, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
