Thread cutting or rolling edit

the section about type is incorrect in its implication that "full bodied" studs have cut threads and not rolled threads. The threads may be formed by either technique. 15:46, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

No, it's correct. Rolling threads increases the overall diameter (as the volume and usually the length both stay constant). The uncut diameter thus ends up smaller than the thread's diameter, so can't be "full-bodied". Andy Dingley (talk) 21:58, 13 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Strength edit

I edited the "Strength" section. Both equations have exactly the same dimensional analysis, so I didn't understand the statement that you shouldn't use the second one. Also, Pascal is a Newton per square meter, not per square centimeter.Tejanojim (talk) 19:38, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
