Thionine redirect
editI have just removed a redirect from this page to Talk:Thionine. I found that confusing, and it meant I assessed the wrong article! Alexbateman (talk) 10:10, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
I suggest that the article Thionins should be merged with this article WeigelaPen (talk) 09:31, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
- This article should be merged with the article Thionins not the other way around! This article also makes the same mistake as prevalent reviews - the gamma-thionins are not the same thing as the thionins. The gamma-thionins are correctly named plant defensins as stipulated by Thomma and co-workers in Planta, vol. 216, pp. 193-202 (2002). Thionins are classified as pathogenesis-related protein family 13 and plant defensins (and thus gamma-thionins) as PR-family 12!
