Who are Maggi–Righi–Leduc? edit
Hello, do you knwo where do the name of this effect come from? I guess they are (were?) physicist but could you find some paperw here these names appear? Was they writing a paper describing this effect together? Pamputt (talk) 15:11, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

The thermal effect was not studied by Hall. The analogy drawn is false.
A 'thermal' Hall effect means a thermal-electric combined effect.
A proper name is 'thermo-electric' effect.

Definition needed edit
The article never quite says what this effect is. If it's truly analogous to the Hall effect, it will be the production of a temperature gradient perpendicular to the direction of heat flow through a solid, in response to an applied magnetic field. Is that indeed the definition, and do we have a source for it being called the thermal Hall effect? Musiconeologist (talk) 02:20, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
